I recently went to a health care forum hosted at the Southern Tier Independence Center.

I heard story after story of people whose lives were literally saved by the Affordable Care Act, people who avoided bankruptcy because of the Affordable Care Act, people who were able to start small businesses because the Affordable Care Act gave them the freedom not to worry about the cost of health care, people whose children had pre-existing chronic medical conditions they can now get coverage for, people who were able to benefit from the extension of Medicaid in New York state.

I wish Rep. Claudia Tenney had been there to hear these stories, so that she could know how important the Affordable Care Act is to people in the Southern Tier and rethink her position on repealing it. We need more access to health care, not less.
